Excellent restaurant. The menu was very good and featured local products. The dauphinoise potatoes were to die for. The service was very friendly. We will be back.

What a wonderful discovery the restaurant at Fort Saint Eynard was! The welcome was incredibly friendly and the charm of the place is amazing. The crepes were delicious and the homemade iced tea was divine. Not to mention the refreshing coolness of the place, so welcome during this heatwave. We'll be back to try their specialty: homemade gratin dauphinois. Thank you so much!

Superb... we'll be back in May...

We came as a couple and ordered a Viennese coffee and a Viennese hot chocolate. The drinks were perfectly fine. However, after a few minutes of drinking them, my partner noticed that her hot chocolate had a slightly peppery taste, even more than pepper: the Viennese hot chocolate literally smelled like gratin Dauphinois (and even had a faint taste of it, too). Despite the strangeness of the experience, it made us laugh a lot, as gratin is the restaurant's specialty.

A great restaurant perched atop Fort Saint-Éynard, with an incredible view of Grenoble! The place is full of charm and has retained all its character. The welcome is warm and friendly. The dishes are simple, tasty, and generous. We had a wonderful time. The little grocery corner with local products and Grenoble souvenirs is very nice!

The Saint-Eynard menu is very reasonably priced considering the quality of the meal. The staff are friendly and there was no wait. Quick tip: definitely order the porcini mushroom gratin – it's absolutely incredible! 😍

The gratin is simply incredible! The starter, the dessert, everything was perfect! Great food in a magnificent location with a breathtaking view. I recommend it without hesitation.

Without a doubt, the best gratin dauphinois in all of Grenoble, with or without porcini mushrooms, a salad so fresh it looks like it just sprang from the earth, and walnut liqueur to make the Carthusian monks envious. A breathtaking view, unpretentious staff and owners who fill your heart with simple, warm joy. If you miss this restaurant when you come to Grenoble, you will have missed out on the city of the three roses entirely.

It had been a long time since we'd been here, but what a pleasure it was to return to this restaurant we love so much! The atmosphere is so unique, and the decor is lovely. The staff is very friendly. And the specialty, the gratin dauphinois, is perfectly executed!

The waitress was unpleasant. The coffee was poorly measured, and the hot chocolates weren't hot and had very little chocolate.

Outrageously expensive, €7 for a barely filled crepe. The coffee is tasteless, €4 for a glass of hot water that tastes like supermarket tea, NO DRINKING WATER?? They don't accept credit cards for purchases under €10 (it's 2025!) However, the setting is very beautiful!

We received a very warm welcome for a family meal. The staff were very attentive to our menu choices when we made the reservation, the service was efficient and friendly, and the food was delicious. A special mention goes to the porcini mushroom gratin, which was particularly enjoyable! As for the setting, the Heritage Days allowed us to fully appreciate it. In short, a very pleasant experience 😊👍
