Restaurant Le Clos Montbonnot St Martin

It's difficult to write a review. We arrived at 2 PM, and the restaurant announced it closed at 3:30 PM, so we were well within the allotted time. At first, the waitress was about to refuse us service; we were about to leave before another waitress stopped us and told us they would let us in. We were then seated in an air-conditioned room (which was quite pleasant). The restaurant wasn't full at all, just a few tables, but there were only two waitresses (and I imagine the owner was spending his time chatting with the customers). While we were waiting for the menus, we heard the waitresses complaining, saying in an irritated tone, "Yeah, and there are two customers over there, you have to bring them the menus." We ordered two pizzas for €18 each, thinking it would be quick. We waited 30 minutes for one pizza with fat and another with watery vegetables. While we waited for the pizzas, the owner and the other waitress were yelling at the young waitress in the bar right next to us—what a lovely atmosphere! Furthermore, my partner and I were constantly being rushed off our feet all afternoon. I don't know if the service is usually this slow; from what I've read, it seems to be a recurring complaint. But frankly, we stayed because it was the only restaurant open nearby; otherwise, we would have left much sooner. I feel sorry for the young waitress who seems to be getting criticized for everything she does.

The terrace is pleasant, the food is decent, but 🤔 out of 5 people, only 2 ate together. A good thirty minutes must have passed between the first and last course being served; our dishes arrived one by one, spaced out, which was very surprising. And the dishes that took the longest to arrive... were salads!

I highly recommend it! What a pleasure to eat such delicious food, a lovely terrace, and excellent service. I happily recommend it.

The quality is there, but let's be honest, the owner is a typical example of his generation. There was a fire across the street: he found it amusing and even amusing. He then proceeded to berate his employee behind her back for moving her car to allow the firefighters to respond. According to him, this "impacted service and wasn't justified." And I won't even mention the speculations he made, always with a laugh, about the owners of the burning house. Of course, the only customers who remained seated and eating during the tragedy were all baby boomers. I don't subscribe to the establishment's values ​​at all, so I will never return with my family or friends. And I strongly suggest that the waitress take her to the labor court for harassment because the owner is absolutely vile in his manner of speaking and behaving.

The welcome and service were top-notch: dynamic, quick, efficient, and friendly! The menu is varied enough that we could find something we liked. The food was high quality and perfectly cooked. The price was quite reasonable: €90 including tax for three people (main course, dessert, and drink).

A great atmosphere and food, I highly recommend it!

The food was good, the waitress very pleasant and professional, but wow, was it ever so slow... 45 minutes between ordering and the food arriving... thank goodness for aperitifs!

I would only give stars for the poor, very friendly but quite lonely waitress. As for the rest, it's expensive and tasteless.

There were seven of us, and we ordered different dishes: unfortunately, none of us were satisfied. The food was cooked, but clearly not good, and the fries were truly disappointing. The service was very slow (one person for the entire restaurant and terrace). The value for money is poor: expensive for what it is! Perhaps we just had bad luck, or perhaps the establishment is more focused on pizzas, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend it despite the rather pleasant setting.

Excellent welcome, great atmosphere, original menu. I recommend it!
